SELLER GUIDE

Multi-Cam OBS Switcher

Run a pro-grade live show with three camera angles, hotkey switching, and clean overlays — straight into your RipVault stream key.

1. Plug in your cameras

You'll typically run three sources:

  • Face cam — webcam or DSLR via capture card (HDMI → USB).
  • Top-down rip cam — phone over an arm mount, connected via OBS Camera (iOS) or Camo / DroidCam.
  • Card detail cam — second phone or USB macro cam for hits and slabs.

Add each as a Video Capture Device source in its own scene.

2. Build your scenes

Create one scene per camera plus a hybrid layout:

  • Face — full-screen face cam, lower-third with handle.
  • Rip — full-screen top-down, RipVault logo top-left.
  • Detail — full-screen macro cam for the reveal.
  • PiP — top-down full-frame with face cam in a 320×180 picture-in-picture (bottom-right).

Recommended canvas: 1920×1080 @ 30 fps, video bitrate 4500–6000 kbps, audio 160 kbps AAC. Match this to the Mux stream key you copied from Seller → Stream.

3. Hotkey the switcher

In Settings → Hotkeys, bind one key per scene so you can cut on the fly:

F1 → Switch to scene: Face
F2 → Switch to scene: Rip
F3 → Switch to scene: Detail
F4 → Switch to scene: PiP
F9 → Start/Stop Streaming

Turn on Studio Mode (bottom-right) so transitions preview before going live. Set the default transition to Cut for breaks and Fade 250ms for talking segments.

4. Overlays & polish

  • Add a Browser Source pointing to your show URL on RipVault to overlay live chat / Super Chat alerts.
  • Use a Color Source letterbox to keep the top-down cam framed when phones shoot 4:3.
  • Filter every cam with Noise Suppression (RNNoise) on the mic and a mild Color Correction (contrast +0.05, saturation +0.10).
  • Drop a Stinger transition with the gold V mark for break reveals.

5. Go live

  1. Paste your Mux stream key into Settings → Stream → Custom (server: rtmps://global-live.mux.com:443/app).
  2. Hit Start Streaming in OBS, then start the show on Seller → Shows.
  3. Run the Live Preview on a second device to verify framing and audio sync.
  4. Open the Pre-show checklist to confirm KYC, payouts, and shipping are green.

Pro tip

Save the scene collection as RipVault-Multicam.json from Scene Collection → Export. You can re-import it on a backup machine in seconds if your main rig crashes mid-show.
