Getting started
How card breaks work — a beginner's guide to live rips
A live card break is a real-time stream where a seller opens (rips) sealed product — packs, boxes, or cases — and viewers buy in for a chance at the cards inside. Here's how to play.
The vocabulary
- Rip — the act of opening a sealed pack or box on stream.
- Spot — a buy-in slot. Each spot represents a team, color, letter, or pack.
- Hit — a rare, valuable card pulled from the break (e.g. a Charizard ex or graded Lebron rookie).
- Personal — you pay the seller to rip a specific product on stream just for you. You keep every card pulled.
- Random — the seller assigns teams or spots randomly after all are sold, then rips.
- Pull rate — the odds of hitting a chase card from a product.
